WoodWood colour stains

Choose from several colours for your Stressless and Ekornes furniture with visible wood. Depending on the model, you can choose from beech stained in the following colours: natural, teak, brown, oak, black, walnut and wenge. Ekornes uses rotary cut beech in all its moulded furniture components. Lightly steamed beech is used for solid wood components.

High quality upholstery with excellent utilisation properties. Some of the variations have a two-tone colour effect to liven up the surface. A protective layer of lacquer simplifies cleaning.

Batick is a corrected, pigment improved and grain embossed upholstery leather, which has had most of its natural marks removed. Batick may have a two-tone colour effect to liven up the surface. Batick is resistant to fading, although changes in colour will occur over time due to use and exposure to light. A protective layer of lacquer simplifies cleaning. Simple cleaning, excellent utilisation properties and a favourable price make Batick a good choice.

Cori is a corrected, pigment improved and grain embossed upholstery leather. Cori has a substantial body and a distinct pebbled grain. Most of its natural marks are removed. Cori has a tip-shine which adds depth and character to the surface.  Some colours have two-tone/ tone-on-tone effect.  A protective layer of lacquer simplifies cleaning. Cori is a wise choice if you want leather with excellent utilisation properties, a robust structure and an exclusive look.

Paloma is a slightly corrected leather with a combination of dyes and pigments that smoothes down some of the structure (the grain pattern) of the leather. The grain structure in Paloma may however vary a little at some parts of the furniture and also minor colour nuances may appear in the leather. Natural marks, scars and insect bites are natural and will appear in Paloma. A thin coat of lacquer gives Paloma some protection and simplifies cleaning, but Paloma does not have the same heavy duty quality and protection as Batick and Classic. Due to its soft, natural and comfortable expression, Paloma is a very popular choice.

Noblesse is the most exclusive leather quality offered by Ekornes. It is a full grain semi-aniline, which means that it is dyed all the way through and has only a thin protective topcoat. This allows the leather to keep the natural softness and lustre that characterises a first-class furniture leather. A natural material like Noblesse retains its original grain and structure. Minor color nuances and skin blemishes may also occur. Such individual details could lead to slight variations in different parts of the furniture cover. Although the topcoat provides a measure of protection, Noblesse is the most delicate of the leather qualities that Ekornes uses. It absorbs moisture easily, and is more vulnerable to wear and tear, heat, sunlight, spills and perspiration. Regular maintenance is important to keep its attractive appearance.

Important information if you are buying leather furniture:
As leather is a natural product, colour nuances are normal and colours might vary slightly from one product to another. The leather is sensitive to direct sunlight, stains and perspiration, and colour change will occur with time due to use and the effect of light. Marks left by scars and insect bites are a natural feature of leather with natural grain. Remember that furniture should be protected from direct sunlight and heatingsources.
Ekornes offers its own leather care series. The Stressless® Leather Care kit (medium, large) and the Stressless® Leather Care Wipes contain a leather cleaner, a protection cream and wipes. For nurturing, and making the leather more resistant to stains, the protection cream should be applied to all leather surfaces when your recliner is new. For later treatment, in addition to regularly removing stains, we recommend that the leather is cleaned with the Stressless Leather Cleaner at least every 6 months. Always apply protection cream after cleaning.

Our fabrics are made from high quality materials that provide great durability. Whenever we choose a new fabric for Stressless and Ekornes Collection, they have to pass through extensive testing to comply with the strict Ekornes demands. Only the best textiles that can withstand "hard use" and "normal use" are accepted. For families with children we recommend "hard use".
Stressless offers you a completely new feeling of comfort; contemporary, warm and luxurious fabric collections that complement our range of  leather categories. All available in a wide range of colours, so you'll find the perfect match for any interior.

Worth knowing
Colour changes will occur with time, as a result of use and the effect of light. You should always protect your furniture from direct sunlight. To prolong the life and appearance of your recliner or sofa, the fabric upholstery should be regularly vacuumed, professionally dry-cleaned or cleaned with our approved Stressless Fabric Care kit.
